PERA Coming Soon
A federal carceral system that is oriented toward rehabilitation and operates with accountability to its residents, their family members and the broader justice community.
The Federal Prison Education and Reform Alliance (PERA) is a is a recognized non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to transforming the federal prison system by providing education and resources to support the broader federal justice community as well as direct case management services for incarcerated individuals.
Your financial support will help PERA build a professional business infrastructure and educational platform while increasing direct case management support and services to help the incarcerated navigate issues such as medical care, classification and other technical prison policy issues. It is our firm belief that a better educated federal justice community will result in better outcomes for their clients and constituents. As we grow our business infrastructure, network and outreach, we will impact the lives of families and be a voice to restore some sanity to federal prison reform and legislative efforts.
We offer multiple ways to donate below!
Donations will initially be used to hire case managers to provide direct services and to develop the educational platform along with tools and professionally produced content. It is imperative to develop content and a resource center for the federal justice community and public.

Future Initiatives
Comprehensive Treatment Center (PILOT)
The BOP contracts on average about $100 per bed a day for sub-standard service. With an infrastructure, we could implement our comprehensive treatment and training center model as a pilot , that can be replicated throughout the country. People are already being denied and reduced RRC placement under the FSA due to bed space shortages despite earning the time credits.
Prison Museum (NYC)
Prison museums are educational and provide awareness to society. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Dublin is the Kilmainham Gaol. Such a venture within structures like the vacated MCC NY or Bayview Correctional Facility could raise awareness and education to benefit society and help in the cause to remove the stigma as our country being “The Incarceration Nation”.
Ombudsman Services (Private & Public Contract)
Federal legislators are adamant about federal prison oversight and the company could play a contracting role in such endeavors to implement our Ombudsman Services.
Auditing Services (Private & Public Contract)
Similarly, the BOP contracts for PREA Audits and even contracts out consultants for agency operations.
Justice Communication Initiatives
Use fee income to help supplement costs of calls, pads, music, content. Developing prisoner education via internet and/or pad medium when available. It’s just a matter of time.
